Years ago, I attended a concert featuring the composer Philip Glass. His music was unlike anything I had ever heard – hypnotic, powerful, and completely original. I knew I was listening to one of the great musical minds of our time.

After the concert, I was able to speak with him for a few moments. It was overwhelming  – I felt as if I were standing beside Beethoven himself.

I expected that someone of his stature would be leaving in a grand limousine. Instead, a simple taxi pulled up, and he quietly stepped inside and disappeared into the night. That stayed with me. True greatness in music often walks very quietly through the world.
